Mixed teams across all eight year groups, and a photo finish that the judges declined to call.
Teams are drawn across year groups rather than within them, so a Foundation 2 child runs on the same team as a Primary 5 child. It makes the scoring strange and the morning much better.
The parents' relay ended in a finish that three separate adults described three different ways. The judges, both of them nine years old, declined to award it and the point was split.
